Solitude 375 RES-R, Navarre, FL. My wife and I are weekend warrior campers, at least for a couple more years. I served in the US Air Force for 30 years. After I retired from the Air Force, I eventually took a job as a contractor instructor pilot for Air Force Special Operations Command where I taught academic and simulator lessons to initial and upgrade qualification aircrews before moving into my current role as a training integrator/supervisor.
I have owned a number of RVs over the years including: pop-up, Reflection travel trailer, 2 different 5th Wheel trailers (a Mountainaire and the Solitude) and a small Class A motor home.
I enjoy adult recreational ice hockey as a player, a referee, and as a member of the league’s board of directors. My other hobbies include SCUBA diving and woodworking. While we do not currently plan on becoming full-time RVers, once I retire (again) we do plan to take frequent, long trips to travel this great nation.

Many of our members are full-timers and most-timers and may spend time in an area but have a permanent address in a different area.

My wife, Viviane, and I have been part-time travelers from Western New Jersey for many years. Also known as “The Roadogs” for travelling with our dogs, Lilly & Birdie. We spend most of our travels in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
My focus will be to not only increase membership but increase the input from existing members. Please e-mail me with any ideas to move forward.

Hi my name is Meri and my husband, Steve, have been full-time for 10 years, of which 8 have been spent in our Grand Design Solitude 379FL. Besides being full-time our commitment to the industry of RV'ing also includes our mobile RV detailing business based in Southwest Florida. As our winters are quite busy, we spend our summers traveling with that business while visiting many new places throughout our country along with our pup Olive Lucy. We also enjoy riding our Harley throughout many of these travels. We have attended the National rally as well as regional events and stand firmly behind the Grand Design product and enjoy the many people we meet in our business as well as our travels. I look forward to what this year brings and what I can do to support our growing chapter.
Meri represents Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.

My wife, Bert, and I are currently weekend warrior campers, at least for a couple more years. I served in the US Navy and retired after 20 years. Bert served in the US Army and served 7 years. After I retired from the Navy, we moved to the Petoskey, Michigan area where I worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Juvenile Probation Officer, Department Head and finally a Tribal Probation Officer serving mainly adult offenders. I am currently retired from all work while my wife continues to work for a few more years.
We have owned a few RVs over the years including pop-up, travel trailer and 3 different 5th Wheel trailers, all from different manufacturers. However, our current Reflection 337 RLS is the only one what we personalized and named “The Bear Den”.
Bert and I do not plan on becoming full-time RVers, but we do plan to take more frequent and longer trips to travel around this great and expansive country.

My name is Karri Hayford, and I live in Flower Mound, TX. My husband, Tom and I bought our first travel trailer—an Imagine XLS 17MKE—in August 2020, and we’ve been camping ever since. Tom officially retired in 2023, and I retired my nursing license in February 2025. Our two children are grown with families of their own, and we are blessed with two adorable, very doted-on granddaughters. Both of our kids live in the Bryan/College Station area—about three hours from us.
Since Tom’s retirement, we’ve taken several long trips around the USA. We travel with our two fur babies: Roxie, an 18-year-oldminiature beagle, and Reggie, a 4-year-old Dachshund/Terror (oops-Terrier!) mix. They both love camping—though these days, Roxie mostly just steps outside long enough to take care of business. Grew up in an Air Force family and attended 18 schools in 12 years due to frequent moves. I later married Tom, who was a Submarine Officer, and the traveling continued. I worked for 44 years as an RN—in many areas of the hospital, for Cigna and for United Healthcare, and spent the last 15 years as a school nurse. We’ve lived in the North Dallas area for38 years.
We’ve attended several rallies and look forward to many more. I truly enjoy meeting new people, exploring new places and I’m looking forward to getting to know the GD and FRVA family.
Karri represents Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana
